Cancellation & Refund Policy for Tutors & Learners
Overview
Life happens! And at TutorChimps, we understand that schedules can change unexpectedly. To ensure fairness for both tutors and students, we have established the following Cancellation & Refund Policy.
This Cancellation & Refund Policy is a part of the TutorChimps Terms and Conditions. The use and continued use of the TutorChimps Platform, constitutes an acceptance of its Terms and Conditions.
TutorChimps Cancellation & Refund Policy requires both students and tutors to submit any request for session cancellation, a minimum of 12 hours prior to the scheduled session start time, to avoid penalties.
A cancellation request made less than 12 hours prior to the scheduled session start time, is considered to be a Late Cancellation.
- Cancellation requests made at least 12 hours before the scheduled session can be rescheduled.
- Both tutors and students have the flexibility to request cancellation or rescheduling of sessions within this period without any charges or penalties.
- Requests for cancellation or rescheduling will be processed by the TutorChimps Admin Team. Requests for cancellation or rescheduling should be sent to TutorChimps Customer Care
- Refunds for cancellations will be processed based on the policy outlined below:
Additional Information for Tutors
- Tutors who request cancellation less than 12 hours before a scheduled session start time (Late Cancellation), may receive a warning or account suspension, or be removed from the Platform for a violation of our terms. Repeated Late Cancellations may result in account suspension or removal from the Platform.
- If a session is canceled by the tutor, less than 12 hours before the scheduled session start time, the student will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule at no additional cost.
- If a tutor does not show up for a scheduled session without prior notice (No Show), they may face account suspension or removal from the Platform. TutorChimps reserves the right to suspend or remove any tutor account from operating on the Platform.
- Where a student chooses the reschedule option for a Late Cancellation made by a tutor, the tutor must provide an appropriate date and time for the rescheduled session to take place, within 15 days of the cancelled session.
- If a tutor fails to provide an appropriate time for rescheduling their Late Cancellation, for a student that chooses this option, they may face account suspension or removal from the Platform.
Additional Information for Students
- If a student requests cancellation at least 12 hours before the scheduled session start time, the session can be rescheduled.
- Cancellation requests made less than 12 hours before the session start time will result in a 100% charge of the session fee.
- If a student does not show up for a session without prior notice (No Show), then 100% of the session fee will be charged.
- If no appropriate time can be agreed for a rescheduled session with the specific tutor, then a Coupon will be issued to the student; that can be used towards the booking of any future session on the Platform.
